Welcome to the Caloundra Chorale & Theatre Company

Announcing our major musical for 2017:

In 1906 after losing her parents to a cholera epidemic in India, sour ten-year-old Mary Lennox, travels to Yorkshire to become the ward of her uncle Archibald Craven, a man who ten years on, still grieves the loss of his beautiful wife Lilly.
Arriving at Misselthwaite Manor, Mary encounters Dr Neville Craven, Archibald’s dutiful but bitter brother and is befriended by Martha and her elfish brother Dickon, Ben, a crusty old gardener and Archibald’s sickly son Colin. Mary finds Lilly’s secret garden and enlists the help of her new friends to make it live again. The spring earth’s nurturing, healing properties become the catalyst for an awaking in Mary and releases Archibald to the love of a father for his son.
Based on the 1911 novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, it features beautiful lilting melodies by Lucy Simon (Carly’s Sister) and charming lyrics by Marsha Norman. It is a timeless tale of a special place where faith, hope and love grow…a story to charm all ages and all generations.
The Secret Garden will be directed by Grant Marks, musical direction by Sarah Sullivan and Neil Booth. Choreography by Helen Butcher, costumes by Merryl Terrey and set construction by Barry Roger.
The Secret Garden will leave you captivated and entranced!

CCTC Youth Group – Drama Workshops for Young People 12-16

The CCTC is proud to announce the relaunch of its Youth Theatre program. This group uses a workshop focus format to produce ensemble theatre projects with students aged between 12 – 16 years.

This program is designed to build skills and immerse the learner in the dramatic arts and technologies. Overall outcomes for students are more often about having fun developing social skills, building self-confidence, improving communication and listening skills in a safe and stimulating environment.
