Steel Magnolias

Steel_Mag_DL_1_copy

We all loved the movie from the late 1980’s that so vividly portrayed the hopes and fears of just normal day to day people.  Dolly Parton, Sally Fields, Olympia Dukakis, Shirley MacLaine, Daryl Hannah and Julia Roberts brought those characters to life right before our eyes.  We laughed and we cried along with them as we watched them struggle through good times and bad.

The CCTC is proud to announce our production of Steel Magnolias will open on the 8th of May with a Special Preview Night and then continue for a 3 week Season.

I would advise you to book early as our last two productions were booked out by the opening night - and we don’t want you to miss out seeing this wonderful play.

Further performances are on May 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 & 25 at 7:30pm & May 19 & 26 at 2pm.  Tickets from $25.00 to $20.00

All performances include Souvenir Programme & supper/afternoon tea.

Bookings on 5437-2719

The Pleasant Sunday Afternoon Concerts are back again!

PSA_May_2012_012

The first Pleasant Sunday Afternoon concert for 2013, on May 5th, will bring together our many friends and musically-starved audiences from last year's series to be wonderfully entertained - as usual.

These friendly monthly concerts are held in the CCSA Hall, Nutley St., Caloundra at 2pm on the 1st Sundays from May to October. They're always a lot of fun, show-casing some of the best Coast performers.

On May 5th, there are quite a few new young talents who will entertain: Jens Radda and Katherine Ernst (lead roles in BYTES performance of Oklahoma last year): Chorale singer David Kydd: Peta Beattie who performs captivating recitations - especially those of poet CJ Dennis: singer/entertainer Mark Hulsman: young saxophonist Sebastian Wallace accompanied by mother Tess on piano: and to complete this wonderful array of talent, QU music student Jessica Norup will demonstrate her brilliance on her flute.

There are different performers each month, apart from the organisers Bev Gourlay, Aart Schouten and Neil Booth, who are there by "popular demand" - we hope!

It's wonderful entertainment for only $9 or $5 for Friends of the Chorale and your afternoon tea is included in the price!!!

Check it out!
