OLDE TIME MUSIC HALL Well the show is over but what a show it was!! The audiences were thrilled and are clamouring for more. All I can say is 'Watch this space!!" In the meantime come along to our two remaining PSA Concerts in September and October for a good afternoon of music and friendship. The PSA concerts are in full swing ! ! !
The Pleasant Sunday Afternoon (PSA) series re-started on Sunday May 2nd at 2pm.
These musical concerts are held from 2pm to approx 4.30pm on the first Sundays of the month, up to October 2nd. The CCSA Hall in Nutley St., Caloundra is the venue for these very entertaining, variety concerts.
Hosted by Bev Gourlay, Neil Booth and Aart Schouten, these afternoons are a lot of fun, and apart from these 3 "performers", there are different artists every month, and the money is raised for the Caloundra Chorale.
September 5th is Father's Day, so why not celebrate it - with or without a Father in tow, at the Pleasant Sunday Afternoon concert in the CCSA Hall in Nutley St., Caloundra. Heading the line-up of talented artists is Adam Piechocinski - the leader of the Sunshine Coast Symphony Orchestra. There are 2 other instrumentalists - young trumpeter Josh Wynyard and piano accordionist Christina Hanley - both members of the Sunshine Coast Concert Band. Singers this month include Chorale members Clif Palmer and Yvonne Everard, Bev Gourlay and Aart Schouten. Well known Brisbane poet Kevin Dean and young Chelsea Fisher will complete the wide variety of items. Pianist and tell-a-joke-man is Neil Booth. Last month there were around 200 enthusiastic people who enoyed the show. The Concert starts at 2pm, so arrive around 1.30pm to pay $9 at the door (which includes afternoon tea) and buy a raffle ticket. Friends of Chorale only pay $5 for these concerts.
