Choir
The Caloundra Chorale is well known in the area, and sings at the Queensland Eisteddfod each year (held in various cities around Queensland) civic functions, community activities such as Carols on Kings, and popular concerts. The theatre company has gained a reputation for presenting quality drama and comedy, including 'Arsenic and Old Lace', 'Steel Magnolias' and 'Calendar Girls'. Both groups combine to present major musicals such as 'My Fair Lady', 'The Secret Garden', 'The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas' and 'The Little Shop of Horrors' as well as the Sunshine Coast premieres of 'CATS' and 'The Boy From Oz'.
If you have ever considered joining a performance group, our choir is a community choir and, as such, anyone who would like to come along for a sing is very welcome. If your forte is acting or dancing there is a place for you in our company, but we also welcome anyone who would like to join in any capacity. If you have any skills that can be utilised please do contact us. Training is provided in all aspects, from lighting to costume making, from front of house to set construction. Members also enjoy the varied social life of this dynamic group, such as picnics, outings, trivia nights, shopping trips or just a get together dinner on a Sunday night.
