The Secret Garden - 2017
CCTC Youth Group
This group uses a workshop focus format to produce ensemble theatre projects with students aged between 12 and 17 years. The community theatre ethos is about facilitating a person’s experience to develop strategies in working with others towards a creative outcome. This program is designed to build skills and immerse the learner in the dramatic arts and technologies. Overall outcomes for students are more often about having fun developing social skills, building self-confidence, improving communication and listening skills in a safe and stimulating environment. If you have a passion for drama and you are interested in challenging your skills please contact us to register your interest.
Please note our Youth Group coordinator is currently on leave for the remainder of the year due to health reasons. If you wish to register your interest for your child's enrolment in 2024 please forward your details to Elizabeth Robins on elizabethr0008@gmail.com and she will contact you in the new year.

Next Gen Performance Group
In 2022 we started a small group of Primary school aged children. This group, called The Next Generation, practise singing, choreography moves and some performance skills. They meet at the CCTC Theatre on a Friday between 4pm and 5pm. Usually they rehearse when the adult choir is planning a concert series which may be coming up in a couple of months’ time. The Next Generation then perform maybe 3 items in those concerts. The kids work with one or two coaches who teach them the songs and then once they know the music well, choreographed moves are introduced.
During the process, the kids learn a lot about being on the stage and participating in a theatre company. The energy is high and the kids have lots of fun. Their real delight comes when they bring the house down with applause in our own theatre.
We hope these kids will go on to be adult members of the CCTC. Already some of their parents have joined the adult choir and have come to love being part of our dynamic theatre company.
We have no places currently in the group (November 2023)
But there could be openings in 2024.
